MIAMI, Fla. – May 1, 2012 – Foram Group, the developer of 600 Brickell at Brickell World Plaza, the newest Class-A office tower on Brickell Avenue, recently received the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s Technology Leader Award for Best Project.
The Technology Leaders of the Year Awards recognize individuals and organizations that guide the effective use of information technology to improve business performance and have had a positive impact in the community. "We are delighted to have been recognized for creating what we believe is the next generation of office environments,” said Loretta Cockrum, CEO of Foram Group. We designed the building from the inside out and wanted to created the first U.S.-based office building of its size and class to approach information and communication technology (ICT) as a fourth utility.”
In the heart of Miami’s Central Business District 600 Brickell is the most “connected” office building in the Southeast, with capabilities designed to stay ahead of global tenants’ most demanding technological applications for years to come. As South Florida’s first Cisco Connected Commercial Office Building, 600 Brickell offers a powerful infrastructure designed to meet tenants’ present and future information technology needs in an instantaneous, simple and cost-effective way.
The building also is directly connected to the NAP (Network Access Point) of the Americas in Miami, which is one of only eight Tier 4 Data Centers globally. “The one-mile of redundant fiber optic infrastructure between 600 Brickell and the NAP of the America provides tenants with cost effective, direct connectivity to the Internet,” said Tracy Story, Foram’s president of management and leasing. “ The building also incorporates this redundant fiber optic infrastructure from floor to floor to ensure online access.”
In January 2012, 600 Brickell was granted ISO 27001 certification - the highest level of accreditation for Information Communications and Technology (ICT) security.
600 Brickell delivers free wireless access for anyone visiting the building or the 30,000 SF outdoor Plaza in addition to the secure network access for tenants and their visitors.
“This flagship property answers tenants’ needs for increased technology, for today and going forward. Winning the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s award for innovation in this arena, only confirms that 600 Brickell is the template for the office building of the future,” said. Noël Steinfeld of Jones Lang LaSalle, the exclusive leasing agent for 600 Brickell.
